Back in 2006, during those immigration protests, the Kern County DA (CA) went on local TV to say the kids who protested didn't know what they were doing, that they just wanted to play hookey from school, etc. Now the moral mandate is clearer than ever before so they need another way to deny agency.

Local parents track the rise of new right wing attack narrative- in the last week multiple filmed incidents of reactionary agitators attacking or trying to provoke student demonstrators have been noted paired w/ influencer/org calls for investigations into teachers unions/ charging parents.

Jordan Henry is also a noxious bigot who’s harmed countless community members. There’s no minimizing his actions here + no redemption in calling out the more overt extremism of a maybe now former buddy. He’s trying to save himself by cutting out part of the coalition he helped build- it won’t work.
Locals here all know Jordan Henry- the man who moved to town seemingly solely to try to build a media/political career by attacking public schools + lgbtq inclusive curriculum. He’s right that Dennis Feitosa is a noxious groyper but still incapable of realizing how he helped normalize him.
