While MLPS was a victory, moral and tangibly, for ICE resisters, don't call it 'a retreat.' The dystopia is just getting started

Thousands of new agents. 150 new offices in every state. And the nationwide gulag archipelago. The fight has just begun

No, ICE isn’t ‘retreating.’ It’s loading up to invade your town. | Will Bunch
A much-hyped ICE pullback from Minneapolis is a blip in a looming nationwide surge of arrests, concentration camps.

Let me tell you a tale of how completely the normies have been mobilized. My 14 year-old niece has done School of Rock for the past 5 years; last summer she was part of their touring band, and the kids loved playing together so much that they decided to keep doing it. (1/?)

As parents we see & hear what students are thinking, how they see the actions of the gov, their fears for their families, friends & community. The right fears student walkouts bc they show plainly the clear moral stakes of this moment. We stand with students and all demonstrators against injustice.
Anti-trans operative/federal prosecutor Bill Essayli escalates a new narrative being pushed by far right accounts nationwide— that teachers unions and other adults of orchestrating student walkouts. Now claims students “being deployed to attack”- dangerous rhetoric designed to criminalize dissent.

A child dying of cancer spent her final days fighting to free her wrongfully detained father from ICE custody.

This comes just weeks after a mother from Maryland was denied the right to be at her son’s side as he died from cancer.

Not one dime for this cruelty.

This is what ICE does every day. Hunt little kids who are here legally. They get sent to a place called the “baby jail” in Texas. Very little of it ends up on video like this. But it’s routine. And disgusting.

I feel this way about pretty much all vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. You shouldn't be allowed to dump cyanide into municipal drinking water and you shouldn't be allowed to recreationally spread viruses around shared public spaces.
My most authoritarian opinion is that the MMR vaccine should be mandatory, with only medical (not religious or floofy) exemptions allowed. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

When you see people out with clipboards trying to get you to sign for the “ceo act” the right’s newest CA voucher scam- know this is the kind of fraud you’re inviting.
One in five.
That's how many ESA purchases are fraudulent. 20%.
The Arizona Department of Education's response? Your taxpayer dollars being spent on lingerie and diamond rings is an "honest mistake." No leadership, and no accountability.
Arizona deserves better. www.12news.com/article/news...
Voucher supporters say Empowerment Scholarship fraud is 1%. New records peg misspending closer to 20%.
12News obtained Education Department records showing that one in five ESA purchases—such as cellphones, TVs, and diamond rings—were on the "unallowable" list.

Anyone who had genuine concerns about youth gender medicine would staunchly and wholeheartedly support social transition. Let kids explore their identities to see what works for them!

The fact that this movement opposes even pronouns and haircuts shows that it's just bigotry all the way down.
This draft guidance reproduces Cass insisting that clinicians must be involved in decisions about *social transition* which actually should be none of their damn business

They take the line that this "non-directive" intervention should force things to be "keeping options open and flexible"...

The x axis starts in 2012, most of the spike is just in the last decade

The spike really starts to kick in around 2017 or so, corresponding almost *perfectly* with powerful sexual predators feeling threatened by MeToo.
a stat i always cite is the number of anti-trans articles in the press went from 60 in a year, to 7,500
