Right now: Cyberaktif - Tenebrae Vision (1990). A collab between Frontline Assembly and Cevin Key (Skinny Puppy). I kind of ignored this one back in the day, but now I get it! Kinda like old Noise Unit.

Someone at work asked me what I have been listening to lately and I didn't really have an answer for her. That's bad.
I probably should have remembered that Biosphere has been huge in my playlist recently. Alchemist, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Noise Unit, Frontline Asembly, Regis, Seefeel, Hardfloor, ...

Tonight, I choose to listen to music, instead of making some of my own.
I realize that I rarely actually sit down and listen to music.
The only time I concentrate on music is in my car. A half hour here, a half hour there. I think this is just the way of things, these days.

Congrats to Blush Response on his new release on Artoffact records. Hard-edged industrial. A little Ministry, a bit Leather Strip, some Lead Into Gold; maybe even a tinge of Fear Factory. Anyway, the vibes are dark and the sounds are fresh. blushresponse.bandcamp.com/album/ego-de...

Maan, talk about throwing the baby out with the bath-water.
Keep in mind, Tonverk is nowhere near its full potential.
glitched.org
People are requesting a vocoder be added to the Tonverk? Huh? How are a sampler and a vocoder even related?
glitched.org
Um, yeah. Biosphere rules

Literally just a few hours after posting this review, Fors has updated Pivot with some cool, new features. Two alternative filters (comb!!), dedicated random source (as suggested in the article), and other enhancements!

Perhaps it is a dubious move to mix/master while having a bout with tinnitus (I thin it will go away now), but I can't let it keep me from doing what I love.

Gotta give it up to Korg for their Microkorg2 firmware 2.0 release. An array of FX and oscillators at your fingertips. synthanatomy.com/2025/10/korg...

I make detroit techno for relaxation. It's rarely shared, but it's fun to do!

You know, throughout my electronic music life, I always ignored Larkin for some reason. I think I need to fix that.

Alright. I did some music today. Tinnitus is definitely still there. I can hear it through the mix.
Taking it easy, though.
I never monitor very loudly, anyway.
I hope this bout passes soon!
glitched.org
Ah, I'll give it a try

I wonder if it's better to take a break from music during bouts of tinnitus or if it makes more sense to "play through the pain." What do you think? (I don't think this current bout is from an adverse hearing event, btw.) @paulsdmcr.bsky.social @booleanloom.bsky.social

Good luck! Sounds like fun, actually, going through all those memories and unfinished ideas. Like a time-capsule

Can the Akai see all that data (like one big drive) or will you have to partition it?
I remember having to do that with the S2000 and scsi Zip (or was it Jaz?)

I think if we did that, we'd lose all sense of hearing in that frequency. Then again, the tinnitus is masking that frequency anyway. Stereocilia is so specialized.
glitched.org
My question is: Why have we not made hearing a priority? Why can't we regrow those cilia in the inner ear? Why is "just ignore it" a treatment for tinnitus??
glitched.org
Jesus! It's that much??
