Fun but serious. Philosophy mostly aligns with Democrats & Utilitarianism. Love progress & ok if that makes me a “progressive”. No to stupid = no to DJT & co. CASA supporter. I’m a Yooper, ah?
No DMs please.

The ability to travel, trade & communicate easily has made the world “smaller” & has made the US smaller & thus we are all impacted by all politics, because I can quickly move between states. 40% of Americans have lived in more than one state. In today’s world, it all matters. Exhausting!
Many in top positions in the House are warning that Epstein info, when released, may be altered. Are there plans to determine if the docs have been tampered with? The DJT administration is famously incompetent, so feels like a coverup could be easily detected. And then what? Exhausting!

I’ve been thinking and it’s kind of exceptional that not a single person said “Hey now” after the piggy comment.

As America becomes more like an oligarchy with the wealth & associated power concentrated to the few 1%, it’s time to realize that the US government hasn’t belonged to the American people for a long time & belongs to those who have purchased the opportunity to prey on the other 99%.
Epstein survivor: "Today we stand in a moment that will decide whether our government still belongs to the American people or to those who prey on them."

I believe (because I’m old & have life experience & because I’m of pretty sound mind that is able to use logic) that the Epstein files are rife with names of the very wealthy/famous. AND JE made most of his money from blackmail which was also the reason for his murder. GM probably has the goods.

This doesn’t seem to happen often enough- wherever & whenever a person claiming to work for ICE is acting in a way that endangers citizens while having no paper proof of their authority, arrests should be made. We expect our law enforcement to protect the local population it’s sworn to serve.
Dear ICE: They don't let you wear a mask in your mug shot.
Great news. This is what an ICE agent looks like in a mugshot. Meet Gerardo Rodriguez, 45, of Temecula, courtesy of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Arrested for "illegally detaining a minor at gunpoint while off duty last week." 🧵

Voting must be made patriotic again.
AND the most patriotic of voters educate themselves (& not via FOX talking points) and choose a candidate that is on the ballot- vote for the least objectionable! Make your vote count!
NON-VOTERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WORST NIGHTMARE IN AMERICAN HISTORY.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

To pile on, IMHO it is our responsibility as voters to cast a meaningful vote, which is to say, to vote for the least objectionable candidate. If we don’t vote for the best, even if the best isn’t our ideal, then we will end up with the worst.
It’s apparently way more satisfying to show up every 4 years and go “these candidates suck, I’m not voting for them” than to vote in the primaries and have a say in who the candidates are.

There is a group of people on this site who are out and proud about that strategy.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

It’s time for Dems to educate voters on the fiscal record of the parties. I consider it a dereliction of duty not to display a deficit history chart based on administration every time there are public comments about the US budget. Americans must understand which is the fiscally responsible party.
Jeffries: We are not going to be lectured by anyone on the other side of the aisle about fiscal responsibility when the bill that you just passed is the most fiscally irresponsible piece of legislation ever…

Greed takes on many forms. People way past retirement age who continue to hold an elected position simply because lazy Americans enable them thru lack of voting or name recognition, are greedily hogging up a seat that should belong to a talented younger person building their political career.
November 11, 2025 at 7:31 PM
It’s unfortunate, but it appears the Dems must allow the Reps to show their stripes, with massive insurance hikes that voters can’t/won’t ignore. People are going to die, whether or not they voted for this madness. This huge reversal in fortune for millions of Americans will impact votes.

GOP congress reps freeloading while claiming Americans “don’t want to work anymore & just want to collect welfare”.
The GOP taking government dysfunction up a notch. Voters must replace these worthless reps ASAP.

The oligarchy came out in full force against Zohran Mamdani's fight for a more affordable NYC.

It didn't matter.

Let his victory in the face of Big Money serve as a reminder that people have the power.

The Mamdani election proves my point-although many super wealthy donated towards the Mamdani opposition, their money wasn’t able to buy enough votes when the American electorate turns out. $ can buy media & cause misinformation & influence, but when the campaign provides a clear message it can win!

Time for an education blitz on the definition of socialism which has its place alongside capitalism. We can’t keep increasing national debt or siphoning wealth to a few thousand people from the general population. It’s simple math, but maybe not simple enough for Americans!

Many people are generously putting in time knocking doors for good Dem candidates. Although the effort’s appreciated, it seems like the best/most efficient way to insure Dems win is to simply convince all voters of the importance of making the effort to vote. Voter laziness is the real obstacle.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

Just this year, Minnesota has ranked:

A top 10 state for safety.

A top 5 state to live in.

A top 3 state for jobs.

A top 3 state to retire.

The 2nd best state to raise a family.

The 2nd best state for children.

A bet against Minnesota is a bad bet.

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.
