I dug out an old watercolor I did in a class. It is my first attempt at painting a peony. It didn't come out all that great at all. So the other day, I added the lines with a fine tip, Sharpie, and now it has become something more than the sum of its parts.

Living in the PNW during the summer, I really miss the severe thunderstorms of the Midwest. This supercell went right overhead and produced a tornado a few minutes later.

This picture was taken out in the country towards dusk. On the left, two wild cherry tree trunks and a few leafy, lower limbs can be seen. Behind the trees stands the west side of a small, red brick building with a pitched roof. The ground is covered in tall clumps of wildflowers that are well past peak.
