Here's looking at you kid
A black and white photo of the side of Selfridges in Manchester.
There are four large windows advertising Gucci sunglasses. Two models are looking sultry and cool. There is a man sat on the ledge if the window wearing sunglasses and smoking, it appears that the models in the advert are looking at him

Not only is she more attractive now, but her whites are whiter, her colors are brighter, and gosh darn it, Donald likes her!

Photo: A replicated kitchen in the restored Castelnaud.
There is a massive (walk-in?) fireplace. Hanging next to it a wild boar. Hanging over it, a pheasant, a couple of rabbits, a couple of quail, probably. On its right (our left), shelving built in the stone wall, with foodstuff. On a long table before it, various jars and pottery and some fresh veggies from the garden. A giant black kettle hangs in the very large fireplace.

There is a tub, partially enclosed with a green curtain, and a shelf across it for (one assumes) shampoo, bath gel, conditioner and the like.

Herculaneum was a very swank neighborhood, before the volcano got to it.

Photo: In a museum gallery, a front-end view of a 1931 Packard Model 840 Dietrich Convertible Victoria. There are grill, bumper, hood ornament, and all fittings are chrome. There are six forward facing lights. The fenders are a dark red, almost burgundy, with red pin stripes. Only parts of the cream-colored side panels are visible.

July 2022 Photo: In a museum gallery, a side view of the chrome hood ornament on a 1931 Packard Model 840 Dietrich Convertible Victoria. The ornament depicts a slender, winged woman in flowing garments flying forever just inches in front of the massive car, her arms out stretched to hold a wheel. Part of the dark red hood is visible to, as well as portions of the chrome grill, some of the forward facing lights. The Packard emblem is shiny brass in the center of the grill..

July 2022 Photo: In a museum gallery, a side view from the front right corner of the passenger side of a 1931 Packard Model 840 Dietrich Convertible Victoria. The fenders are a dark red swooping over the tires, which are creamy white white walls to match the door and side panels. The running board is the same dark red, except for the step portion beneath the door, which is chrome. A spare wheel is mounted just forward of the passenger door, along the long hood. The hub caps are chrome, of course, with Packard branding at the hub and a complex chrome spoke system connecting it to the rim and tire. The rim is a brighter red, matching the pin striping on the fenders.

Republicans would rather shut down the government than help millions of Americans afford health care. This article tells some of their stories, and is a good reminder of what’s at stake.
These people have found their health care at the center of a shutdown showdown
Small business owners, self-employed people and early retirees are among the 24 million Americans who could lose the tax credit

His MAGAisty will one day be known as the Elon Musk Memorial Dictator.
johnlaroe.bsky.social
So, how many terms does a MAGA representative have to serve before being taught the Secret Handshake? And how many terms after that 'til they're taught the Secret Obamacare Replacement?
I'm beginning to understand why they can't get anything done!

I think the story here might be "his MAGAisty is passed at Musk again," although you're right. They're dangerous!
johnlaroe.bsky.social
They're very, very secret plans. So secret they can never be discussed
written into legislation
voted on
signed into law
enacted
🤫
But they definitely have a plan.
(and it's going to be great for portfolios filled with funeral home & cemetery investments)

ive been loving this story and also finding it extremely unsurprising. shackleton was always broke as a joke and willing to cut corners and also a virile hero, so all elements of the escapade make perfect sense

I think the next "round table" will focus on Antisla, opening with the second showing in the White House of "Birth of a Nation," followed by a lengthy discussion of The Lost Cause & a celebration of the return of monuments for the Confederacy.
