There would be more than a hundred by the time your reporter crossed the street to get close-ups. There's a flag at the left and a little further to the right the first four of the Kansas City Handmaid's Army have gathered, in their red regalia. On top of the hill behind them the mostly brick, 11 (or more) storied KCVA-MC and its auxiliary structures (an in-patient substance-abuse facility on the left and a large parking lot with solar-panel roofing on the right) are catching the fading glow of the setting sun.

Somewhere around 250 Missourians showed up 30 January 2026 at the #KansasCity offices of U.S. Rep. Sam Graves (MO 6th District R) and U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt (MO-R), where a parking attendant threatened to have their cars towed and this small sign appeared. They were not deterred. (See alt text.)

Hegseth approved it:
“The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requests support from the Department of War (DoW) to provide existing infrastructure to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a component of DHS, specifically an area for parking approximately 300-500 vehicles and 10 storage trailers, a ready room space for approximal 500-800 CBP personnel, a space to house, maintain and operate five CBP Air Assets, access to a magazine to store munitions, and other necessary facilities to support operations in the Minneapolis, Minnesota metropolitan area,”

I've been sent video from the end of the ICE raid at the Zipps on 32nd and Shea.

It shows protesters -- on the sidewalk, impeding no one -- getting drive-by maced by an ICE agent from a truck as it rolls away down the road.

Hard to see how such tactics are justifiable.
