Downtown business folks are the most shortsighted fools in town, fouling their nest to get back at DSA & shocked when people avoid downtown. One even hallucinated a stabbing! Also, landlords can’t deny funding Kupchella’s screed even as another is shocked it was so negative. They’re just morons!

The sad thing is, essentially a Republican *can* win in Minneapolis they just have to be Jacob Frey and pretend to be a Democrat while vetoing labor standards, Accepting love notes from ICE for facilitating their Lake St raid, and failing to reject a slanderous documentary that insults his city.

Suppose you believe the Kupchella, right-wing Fox world. On TV, making up stories about Minneapolis, Portland, and Chicago, you'd think the patchouli was spiked with fentanyl and the vinyl records were WMD. Truth is, the neighborhood streets are peaceful. It's the commercial spaces that're fucked.

council, mayor and outside groups need to get their story straight. I thought we were having a rebirth. Then in odd years we have to instill fear again. As a city cheerleader/mayor for eight years of a needle to thread Trashing his own city.

There’s a weird thing in Minneapolis right now where a lot of races that ultimately won’t be competitive are being made to appear competitive - I guess in that sense the corporate slate did expand the playing field, but it’s unlikely they will alter the outcomes, with such terrible candidates.

Leo questioned a world where the wealth of the elite grows
"exponentially" while many "millions of people die of hunger or survive in conditions unfit for human beings." He also criticized "ideologies that defend the absolute autonomy of the marketplace and financial speculation,"
with false promises "that a free-market economy will automatically solve the problem of poverty."

Leo described a "new tyranny," which shuns any kind of oversight and where the economy is structured "in such a way that sacrifices are demanded of the masses in order to serve the needs of the powerful." The poor, he wrote, are only allowed "drops that trickle down."

The pope openly challenged "prosperity theology" and called Christians to the practice of giving charity. "It will not solve the problem of world poverty, yet it must still be carried out, with intelligence, diligence and social responsibility," he wrote.

Popular movements that challenge "the empire of money," invite people to take on the cause to combat poverty alongside the poor, instead of on their behalf, and "make history," the pope said. It our duty, Leo said, to "make their voices heard, albeit in different ways, in order to point out and denounce such structural issues, even at the cost of appearing foolish or naïve."

The National Guard is never good for Labor. They break up strikes and always side with the bosses. We saw them used to quell peaceful protests under this same President in 2020. Today, they are
scabs displacing blue-uniformed cops, managed locally by mayors in departments with open positions.

Seems this Bill Belichick fiasco is every bit as convoluted & messy as you can imagine. This was an entirely predictable outcome. Institutions are getting corrupted by greed, with other layers of greed among the rank and file. What an embarrassing mess. Season crashes to an end before game 6. lol.
