DOGE took away Adobe Acrobat from Fed workers, causing mass inefficiencies.

Seems this Bill Belichick fiasco is every bit as convoluted & messy as you can imagine. This was an entirely predictable outcome. Institutions are getting corrupted by greed, with other layers of greed among the rank and file. What an embarrassing mess. Season crashes to an end before game 6. lol.

Am I reading this right? Did Trump say he took freedom of speech away?
kylegriffin1.bsky.social
Flagging Trump this afternoon:

"We took the freedom of speech away. Because that's been through the courts and the courts said you have freedom of speech — but what has happened is, when they burn a flag it, agitates and irritates crowds."

I am never going to be a fan of a politician. That way lies disappointment. But Pritzker right now is the person I think is calibrating it right.

This isn’t negotiating about social security with W. You either get that or you don’t.

Now that the cross traffic is a trickle that’s a real opportunity. Before the downtown corporations consolidated offices and/or pulled out of downtown, there was actually a blocking the box problem st intersections. Hard to remember that now.

the city of los angeles burned in january in part because of a man who couldn’t stop generating images of burning cities on ChatGPT, and then after he lit the fire he asked if the fire he started was his fault

It’s all a graft. You know the other side is a mess when they have competing PACs and messy messages.

Has Mayor Frey issued a response to the Kupchella doc or is he just silently nodding in assent that his political fortunes are somore how helped by trashing the city he governs?
kedrickillian.bsky.social
he’s certainly toxic in Ward 10, which makes it kind of funny how much the corporate side invested in blocking the DFL endorsement when Aisha has really got this locked up cause this business pac doesn’t actually have residents in ward 10 in real numbers

The Mayor still accusing other people of “defunding“ the police signed a budget that reduced funding for MPD.

Show this to your friends. If this is considered “defunding,” he did it and very few remaining council
Members voted for it.

This is the only evidence of any such action. He did it.
This is a picture signing a budget with small decrease in funding for the police. From MPR.

The people running Minneapolis keep alleging some boogeyman secretly defunded the police but as far as I know, cops still get paid. Some yield enough at side hustle cash to buy homes in Florida. Meanwhile the MPD budget keeps going up. Someone is lying or these defunders are incompetent.

There once was a city.

Now it’s an abandoned suburban office park. With no public parks in the core its a sterile private/public “partnership.” The downtown council is in charge. The skyways hours are a mess. Crystal court, Peavy, Commons & Mill City are private spaces. THEY ruined downtown.

i took countless photos on a point & shoot digital camera from like 2003 - 2005 before moving to a DSLR. only dated things like political signs or cars or old business will give away the age

People I love to chat with right now are Black veterans. You see a guy wearing that hat, they want to talk about it. They always deserve our thanks and they have the most insightful understanding of this moment. Our society has never been as democratic as our liberal parents taught us.

Bold of the Twins to be extending their search to the Minnesota Marketing Careers email list, but I like how expansive they're being.

"Enterprise" is a capitalistic, free-market, profit-driven word that encapsulates this project perfectly. The SCOTUS should not be a profit generating "enterprise" but clearly it is, both for the favored clients and some of the justices themselves. Everything is for sale.

It is with much pride to announce that I have received the endorsement of the Minneapolis Federation of Educators (MFE), Local 59! As a former student of the Minneapolis Public Schools, I am honored to have the support of our incredible educators.

lol so many ad/digital firms made so much money off these races and we still came no closer to building any sort of lasting infrastructure in these places

if only we had something to fund actual, real, long-term base-building work! like idk a party? imagine if that was a priority to them?

I went through financial filings on a bunch of the 2020 fail candidates and it was so horrifying. Like endless cash spent on media outside the voting area and not on on the ground door knocking volunteer support which is the gold standard for actual vote getting.

I love that Charlie Berens is campaigning against AI data centers

AND that he also has the same '90s Packers locker that I had when I was a kid (I picked "04" for Favre)

I agree and I think they’re going to try to end up having a larger wedge issue led by Andrea Jenkins and a strategy We saw used in 2021.
dbrauer.net
I’m told this is Frey-funded. Imho they are leveraging an issue Soren & lefties are vulnerable on here. (A broader group of voters than the usual ideological divide opposes a pedestrian closure of any part of George Floyd Square. Not endorsing this, but it exists.)

Got a similar 3-question poll in ward 8

Who are you voting for council
Who are you ranking first for mayor
Which of the two 38th/Chicago plans do you support

CB is a troll at heart, so I try not to get baited. But I can't believe our "moderate" DFLers have their own alpha news style documentary and have pre-injected voter fraud into the city election conversation. It's glorious. Federal troops will be greeted as liberators I guess?

Minneapolis is a dangerous hellhole, a killing field, and is incapable of running free and fair elections. Sincerely, the committee to reelect the guy who's been mayor for 8 years. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Watching Donna Brazile on TV. Claire McCaskill is a MSNBC staple. What does it mean that irrelevant people who lost are the leading spokespeople of the Democratic party? Funneling messages through a red state lens, through people who lost as much as they won. This is the DNA of the Democratic Party.
