We’re building a movement to take on the 1% — and win.

Because there is enough money to fund schools, hospitals and climate action. It’s just being hoarded.

It’s time for the super rich to PAY UP.

But taking on the super-rich driving anti-net zero rhetoric isn't just about messaging. It's about redistributing the wealth they hoard to invest in our schools, homes and climate.

To invest in the Green New Deal.

And that fight starts with wealth taxes at the Autumn Budget.
gndrising.bsky.social
Climate action must meaningfully improve people's lives.

Good, green jobs. Affordable, warm homes. Clean, publicly-owned energy.

Anything less opens the door for Farage and his billionaire mates to dismantle public consensus for urgent action.
gndrising.bsky.social
Ed Miliband is right - the Green New Deal is the fight this government need to be having.

Tackling the climate crisis must go hand in hand with tackling economic inequality.

To fight the far-right, to fix our economy and to protect our futures. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

As we approach this crucial Budget, one question looms large for the Chancellor: whose side is she on? Will she stand with us — ordinary people — who already pay our fair share? Or will she protect billionaires, corporate landlords and CEOs who are getting rich off our struggles?

🚨BREAKING: Time for Rachel Reeves to pick a side and tax the super-rich

Ahead of the Chancellor’s speech today, we’re outside Labour conference demanding Reeves delivers a budget for the people + commits to wealth taxes to invest in our schools, hospitals and climate.

Reminder that expanding airports:

- Mostly benefits wealthy frequent-fliers

- Accelerates the climate crisis that's pushing up bills and making us all unsafe

- Hasn't previously boosted GDP or productivity...

We will fight this disastrous decision.

The British public are clear:

It’s time for those with the broadest shoulders to pay a fairer share of taxes.

Our co-director Hannah on Talk TV today on why Kemi Badenoch's desperate attempt to copycat Nigel Farage is bad for us, bad for our planet - and just won't work 👇
gndrising.bsky.social
We *can* build an energy system that brings our bills down, creates good green jobs and tackles the climate crisis.

Renewables generated half of our electricity in 2024.

This announcement does nothing but expose a Tory party who are fine with legislating for collapse.
gndrising.bsky.social
Kemi Badenoch's latest nonsense announcement on North Sea oil + gas will only serve the super-rich shareholders and oil executives who stand to profit, while the rest of us continue to suffer sky-high bills and watch climate disasters tear through our communities.

Henley and Partners' bogus data was used to fuel an avalanche of false media reports that govt tax changes led to a 'millionaire exodus'.

Today, we showed up at their HQ (alongside special guest Mr Monopoly) to correct the record.

It's time for the richest to PAY UP.

🚨BREAKING!🚨

30+ of the world's leading economists have written a letter backing calls for a wealth tax on the super-rich.

Among those backing the call are the internationally renowned Thomas Piketty, José Antonio Ocampo, Jayati Ghosh, and Ha-Joon Chang.

Last year, billionaires added £35 million A DAY to their fortunes.

People like Nick Candy - who funds Reform UK and builds property for the ultra-wealthy - are richer than ever.

Meanwhile this govt pretends there's no money to restore wages for ordinary people.

We say enough.
gndrising.bsky.social
The resident doctors' strike today exposes a brutal truth of our economy.

Whilst the super-rich have amassed record fortunes, wages are lower in real terms for millions of us.

We stand in solidarity with all those striking and organising to fix this economic injustice.

This opinion is a seismic win for climate justice - brought about by tireless organising by young people from frontline communities.

Polluting states will be held accountable for the harm they have caused.

This is the climate crisis in action.

Surging food prices hitting ordinary people already battered by high energy bills driven by fossil fuels.

As the super-wealthy and corporations profit from fanning the flames.

We. need. a. Green. New. Deal.

This is the reality for millions, especially young people.

Pouring more and more of our paychecks into the pockets of ultra-wealthy corporate landlords.

This can't carry on.

The solutions are clear:

Tax the super-rich.

Invest in affordable homes.

Cap rents.
gndrising.bsky.social
Reform can rip up climate policies.

But the reality hasn’t changed: it's Reform's constituents being hit by higher bills, food prices and extreme weather driven by climate breakdown.

And it's only climate action policies which stop these crises getting worse.
gndrising.bsky.social
This Government don't even KNOW which billionaires pay tax in the UK 🤦‍♂️

People like Jim Ratcliffe and the Duke of Westminster pay lower tax rates than nurses - it’s time for them to PAY UP with wealth taxes.
gndrising.bsky.social
The super-rich are making billions off the crises hollowing out communities and torching our planet.

It's time for this govt to listen to the public and make the richest PAY UP through wealth taxes to fund a secure future for everyone.
