The rise of shortform video has spawned this bizarre trend of editing sequences of often rubbish films with fast cuts and putting the trashiest dramatic stock music over the top and I just want the world to know that I've noticed. The comments are full of people describing what the video shows.

Been keeping a top ten games for the year and it's been such a good year that the only way to fit in all the games I really like is to ban remakes, clearing up two spots taken by Ninja Gaiden 2 Black and Tony Hawk's 3+4. Fairly unlikely I'll play any more new games this year so it's likely locked in

Fun fact, with this song I accidentally forgot to switch to direct input when recording the synth and recorded it through the vocal mic instead. At the start of the track there's a weird growling noise where I moved the synth, but I thought it sounded cool

It rocks to tell people their shit rocks. Every single person who has ever been nice about my work has been appreciated for doing so. I take time to say I love stuff and it’s always the right time to remind somebody you value their work! You don’t need to get into detail either. Just say it rocks
I’ve sometimes fallen into the trap of thinking that complementing a creative person for their work is less sophisticated or desired than discussion or debate about it but very often the best thing you can say to them is hell yeah and that doesn’t make you dumb it just makes you nice

I think there's a gut instinct to hate areas like Bilewater or Blighttown. More obnoxious games might even have the character quip about sewer or swamp levels as they traverse through one, granting people permission to complain about games criticising their own design, but they're there for a reason

Definitely the strippers in Duke Nukem 3D. I always assumed that my dad didn't know that you could make them flash you, but obviously he did, he just didn't want *me* to know
