Proud Scot living in the beautiful Highlands. Animal and nature lover.
I’ve put aside my Christmas ghost stories and ‘cosy’ crime for a while and reading a book by a writer who is new to me. It’s been a while since a book has entered into my dreams and make me wake with a heightened heart rate #Books #ScottishCrimeFiction

Amaryllis ❤️ this is a new plant on me and it’s been showing its promise since I bought it a week ago. I’m loving these flowers, they are slightly glittering and the shade is stunning. I just hope I can keep it alive!

Reading about the work of organisations such as the RSPB, Trees for Life and Highlands Rewilding offer hope for nature in Scotland. It can’t be easy to continue the battle for nature when there are so many who work against it. I, for one, appreciate their efforts #Nature #Scotland #Rewilding

Two handmade cross stitched Christmas cards. They’ve been a lovely design but taken me a while. Both expressing feelings for the year ahead as we all need some! #Crafting #Needlecraft

Honestly, the Nigella ‘incredibly easy chocolate fruitcake’ is the most delicious Christmas cake. Ok, it’s not particularly traditional but who cares? For those who want to give something different a go, it’s not too late! #Christmas @nigella.bsky.social

Watching Plur1bus on Apple TV, I like the idea of a breathalyser to start the car. I wonder when we can expect to see that introduced?

Just read that voters in West Lothian in Scotland have voted in Reform to give them their first by-election win. Come on Scotland, we are better than that!

This resonates with me so well as a child of the 70s raised in rural Scotland. There is way more pressure on young people these days

I’m not a fan of football. It can be divisive and I find the earnings of some top league players obscene but I have to say that it’s great to see such joy and happiness on the faces of people when their team does well #Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We’ve united with nature charities across Scotland call on the First Minister to stop #BerwickBank. If progressed it could be the deadliest windfarm for birds on the planet.
