hey Square, shutting off a block of the primary N-S bike commute path, just as hundreds of parents are bringing their kids home after school, with zero indication of alternate routes, is a shitty thing to do and a great way to piss off thousands of people! @sfmta.com : just keep the bike lanes open

The hearing is tmrw in SF criminal court (9am; 850 Bryant, dept. 24) The driver admitted trying to transfer assets (property) to NV and still hasn't explained why they were driving 70 mph on a residential street w/o trying to brake. Killed a whole family.

If you're old enough, as I am, you can remember how filthy the air was in this country before this took effect. That's what they want to return to, so they can have more money. That's it.
Probably the most successful piece of legislation in US history, measured by social benefit generated per dollar spent. Also wildly popular, across demographics.

Without any public discussion or consultation of Congress, the Trump administration has effectively killed it.
The Trump administration has “virtually stopped enforcing the Clean Air Act,” lodging just one consent decree in a relatively small case since Trump’s inauguration, compared with 26 in the first year of Trump's first term, & 22 in Biden’s first year. peer.org/under-epas-z... 1/

MIller’s enthusiasm for maximum cruelty and racism are hurting Trump. But since it helped him on the way to/back to power (and because Trump has always been deeply racist), it’ll be hard for Trump to be persuaded to dump him.

But…dare to dream.

Here's the thing, Greg — free speech is still protected by the First Amendment under the Constitution.

If you want folks to stop saying you're the secret police who are kidnapping and killing people, maybe stop acting like the secret police who are kidnapping and killing people.
Bovino: "When politicians, community leaders, & some journalists engage in that heated rhetoric we keep talking about, when they make the choice to vilify law enforcement calling law enforcement 'Gestapo' or using the term 'kidnapping,' that is a choice & there are actions & consequences."

They do not mince their words. I'm outraged but encouraged by people power. Community and people power will get us through this quagmire.

an administration staffed to the top with degenerate liars
Noem lies shamelessly: "An individual approached order Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic gun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently. This looks like a situation where an individual arrived to inflict maximum damage and kill law enforcement"

Masked federal agents in Minnesota just shot and killed another person.

We must put a stop to Trump’s ICE. Now.

Stop the funding, stop the occupations, stop the killings.

When will it be enough for you, @schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social ? When will you be moved? You should be standing in the streets of Minneapolis. You should be shouting from the rooftops. What a pathetic pair of cowards.

I will never get over the fact that the Republican Party chose as its standard-bearer, and this country elected as its President, quite possibly the worst human being on the planet.
Trump: "ICE is gonna be too rough with somebody. They're gonna make a mistake sometimes. I felt horribly when I was told the young woman had the tragedy. But when I learned her father is - I hope he still is, but I don't know - was a tremendous Trump fan. It's terrible. It's so sad. It just happens"

“Someone might look at [the price] and decide to take the bus to save a $5 parking fee.” In that sense, Hank Willson added, demand-based pricing functions similarly to congestion pricing, which imposes fees on drivers who enter densely congested areas.

I’m in Waikiki - a ton of people are on e-bikes, almost exclusively on the sidewalk because the bike infrastructure is nonexistent. If you don’t want e-bikes conflicting with pedestrians, take space away from cars. I will hear no more complaints about this.

$171 billion was allocated to ICE this fiscal year. Billion. $45 billion for detention, which is sick and perverse.

But we don't have money for healthcare and schools.

This is on par with ~ the 14th largest military spending in the world. (between Ukraine and Israel per KEXP)
