On the backend of the bookselling industry the Onyx Storm release is once again a big hot mess already.

Everybody that is very upset about Spines needs to watch Amazon and see what they do once Spines actually begins publishing books and the people from outside our little community haven't boycotted them.

I really, really do not talk about the RWA thing a lot, and unless you were there before people knew what the RWA thing was, you probably don’t know this part of the story.

The thing that keeps getting me about all the pieces fretting about Bluesky being too insular is that the argument seems to be that those of us who are most likely to be abused by the right (BIPOC people, trans people, queer people, etc) must put up with being abused for the sake of public discourse

Very excited about the editions of a lot of classics that we just brought in!
The order they came in had over 200 books in it. So you're definitely going to have to stop by the shop to see all the new books!

Well behaved pet owners are allowed to come in with their pets, so long as it is neither Wednesday nor Friday nor a day Allen felt peculiarly sad as those days are reserved for Mister Growley himself.
Also, no pets are allowed Mondays, but that is strictly due to the practicalities of our hours.

Is there a delay between republishing a feed in an aggregator and when the posts in the feed change?
I'm using skyfeed.app, and the feed preview says the things I did worked. And I've republished the feed.
But when I look at the feed on bluesky it's still the old collection of posts instead.
