#NowPlaying Elliott Smith - Elliott Smith. I find this (and the first 3 Elliott Smith albums generally) incredibly soothing. Probably against the intention but I just find his voice and the acoustic guitar tone to have this medicinal quality. Favourite track: Clementine

Amazing - what year was that? That’s the kind of happening you’d dream of coming across in NY. Not comparable but my own NY achievement was sweet talking my way into a sold out Yo La Tengo Hanukkah show without a ticket.

#nowplaying Remember my first SY gig. This tour, 15 yo, a parent drove us down to London, Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Remember the excitement queuing and where we stood- up front, just to the right. A sharp, short set. Opened with Schizophrenia then played most of nyc. Blew us away, love this album:
