53 year old Scottish bampot. Bollocks to Kvatch. Growing old is compulsory, growing up isn't. Let's all do our half-arsed best! I mostly ramble about video games, weird old TV shows and movies.

Play whatever game you like on whatever system you like. You are a gamer. Are you enjoying yourself? Good. In the end, that's all that matters.
Just had a nice delivery thanks to my friend Stephen, couple of 4Ks and more Doctor Who toys.
What's the best one-liner in movie history?
Also discovered that four year gap in buying anything off Steam which was a combo of not having any money and the only PC I had not being able to run anything above basic stuff as it was basically a cheap laptop board in a tower unit. There's a definite uptick at the beginning of 2020.
I'd either not sat down and had a proper go at Jeff Minter's Gridrunner Revolution, or I did but it was that long ago I forgot, since I picked it and Space Giraffe up on Steam back in Dec 2010, years before I got heavily back into PC gaming. It's lovely, fun and not too difficult. Great stuff.
Hate that they've only given a fortnight's notice on this, luckily I picked them all up a while back, but would be out of luck if I hadn't. Really hate when this happens.
City Connection's Psikyo ports will be leaving Steam on October 31 psikyo-portal.com/notice_25101... the console versions will remain available (for now, at least)

it wasn't heavily advertised by either party but CC sold Psikyo successor studio Zerodiv to Edia earlier this year

I hate that they only give a fortnight's notice on this, luckily I have htem, but I'd be entirely out of luck if I didn't.
Tried some Steam Nextfest demos, Yooka Laylee Replayed is a nicely updated version of a fun game, really enjoyed the Neverawake Flashback demo, but so far has been the Majogami demo a really fun action platformed with some really fun mechanics. youtu.be/RUj0zH9WspA?...

Final Destination had nothing on British public information films.
We've lost another absolute master of movie poster art, RIP Drew Struzan.
Today is a win as I met the friendly black cat again on my way home from picking up my prescription.
Friend dropped off my Curse Of Frankenstein 4K with all the cool extra stuff. (We often pool our orders together to save a wee bit on postage) Can't wait to delve into the extra materials.

Heartbroken that, per his social media accounts, Drew Struzan has left us. His poster and album art was quite simply shorthand for imagination for countless young people.

The beautifully grotesque horror art of Ken Reid, one of Britain's greatest cartoonists. The genius behind Faceache, Jonah, and Frankie Stein was let loose with WORLD WIDE WEIRDIES (1974), full-page pinups in Whoopee! and Shiver and Shake. For kids, if you please!
Ok, finally making some progress in Army Of Ruin after bouncing off due to feeling like I wasn't getting anything done in it. Took longer to click with me than Vampire Survivors, Holocure and Halls Of Torment, but getting there now.
Being doing odds and ends in Borderlands 4, but most of my gaming past week has been Halloween stuff in Warframe, Halls Of Torment, the demos for Absolum, Ball X Piut and Megabonk! and a bunch of pinball. Sleep and fatigue been a pain, especially combined with light headedness, but getting better.
Only wish the standard UK 4K releases of Tron and Tron Legacy weren't delayed a fortnight so I could have revisited both beforehand.
Really enjoyed Tron Ares, visuals were fantastic, soundtrack was awesome, loved the references and callbacks. Even my main worry, Leto, was absolutely fine.
Will have to wait until end of the month for this, absolutely loved the demo, a twin-stick Arkanoid rogue-like? That'll do nicely, son.
I'll be letting my Switch Online lapse when the next renewal comes up in January, because Nintendo have honestly completely lost me with the Switch 2, lack of Switch 2 patches for games I love and and drip feed of mediocre stuff on the online emulators.
Another set of SNES stuff added to Switch Online, another complete lack of R-Type III and Super Aleste and instead the usual utterly mediocre stuff.
59 years ago today, my favourite silver lads, the Cybermen showed up in Doctor Who for the first time, always evolving, always changing they've remained a regular threat ever since.
I was not expecting the phrase Mickey Mouse Arse Camera to enter my lexicon today, but there we go...
September 30th vs October 1st vs October 31st.
