ALWAYS ANTIFASCIST released this notice to us:

*Flash mob Dance protest near the White House* at 2 PM Sat Oct 11 BLM Plaza. Music and speeches, but mostly just dancing.
Why? We are dancing to call their BS.
*Planned by an ad hoc group of long-term organizers.*

Mike Johnson thinks the “No Kings” rally planned for next week is a “Hate America” rally meant to extend the government shutdown—something someone who has never been to a “No Kings” event would say.

It's really hard to take this guy seriously.
“We’re so angry about it. I’m a very patient guy, but I have had it with these people. They’re playing games with real people’s lives,” Johnson said Friday morning on Fox News, in his usual monotone voice. “The theory we have right now: They have a ‘Hate America’ rally that’s scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall. It’s all the pro-Hamas wing and the antifa people, they’re all coming out. Some of the House Democrats are selling T-shirts for the event. It’s being told to us that they won’t be able to reopen the government until after that rally, ’cuz they can’t face their rabid base. This is serious business hurting real people.… I’m beyond words.”

1. This AM we learned Bari Weiss sent an email to CBS News staff asking them to submit a memo explaining how they spend their time and what’s working/not working.

Now, the Writers Guild, the union which reps some CBS News staff, says it has sent a demand to CBS to get more info about Bari’s request
Dear Guild Members:
We are aware that Bari Weiss sent an email asking CBS employees to provide information about their jobs and feedback about CBS News. Many of you have expressed concern to us about the purpose of the email, and we share those concerns. That is why we sent the company an immediate demand to provide information about the email by Monday. (Information request copied below.) We suggest that you refrain from responding until we are able to share the information that we receive so that you can make an informed decision by the Tuesday deadline.
Solidarity,

As far as I know, Popes know a lot about ghosts.🤷‍♂️

See? These guys just know how easy I am to confuse.

That explains it. I was talking about Frederick II. The one Pope Gregory IX called the antichrist in the 13th century.

This would not be the first time I was wrong about something.

I'm pretty certain it's that same guy. My understanding is he was the last emperor of Rome by virtue of conquering them.

Apparently the guy liked to experiment with how cruel one human could be to another and how much suffering a human could take.

I guess by then the popes and the Holy Roman empire were not on speaking terms.
