You know, Europeans can feel whatever they want to feel about this situation, that’s fine, but actually, I have never blamed a country for its dictator, especially in places where wealth equality is staggering and where larger powers exert enormous influence on elections.
This man is talking about stealing a country at gunpoint from nations the US is allied with. Of course Europeans hate us. You would feel the same way if you were in their place. American voters put this man in power, he didn’t seize it this time.

Same, except my kids aren’t human. I feel like we have taken crazy pills.
i am a middle aged white mom with a minivan. i live in a brick ranch and vote democrat in every election. i am the electoral equivalent of a free space in bingo. I PROMISE THIS IS NOT WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AT MY KITCHEN TABLE
Despite Trump’s promises, grocery prices are still rising fast. Families can’t afford this… when is he going to get serious about lowering costs?

“I learned from them very early that what one does with Nazis is kill them,” he said at a 2023 conference on antinuclear activism in Johannesburg. “I am not a pacifist.” WOW.

France is our first and oldest ally.

The fact that they are sending troops to fight against us should actually fill every American with horror and shame.

I had to people a lot today which is harder than usual given *gestures about* but now I am sitting here with a cat in my arms who is sleeping and I can feel the one little tooth poking through my sleeve into my arm and he's snoring and everything is not completely terrible, is it?

The best advice I can give:
-Do not talk about how you're struggling to coworkers and your boss, especially if you are a woman and/or non-white person
-Figure out what doesn't have to be perfect, just what has to get done
-Outsource whatever you can afford
-Get enough sleep
-Do not be sad alone

I’m making the easiest dinner I can (thanks Traders Joes Mandarin orange chicken) while I stand in the kitchen crying because one more murder by government thugs happens and I see her face and she reminds me of me 20 years ago before my bones ached so much. WTF. How do we do this anymore.

Made gyros meat the long and arduous way. Started my next towel warp. Leaning some Loreena McKennitt songs on big harp. Trying to not run out into the night screaming.

There’s quite a few books that would work for me.
And please, PLEASE let us not forget that time in 2023 when Karen Smith was elected President of the school board in Bucks County, Pa and swore her oath on a stack of banned books. The most gangsta oath ever! Just brilliant. www.edweek.org/leadership/t...
This School Board President Took Her Oath on a Stack of Contested Books. Here's Why
The school board for Central Bucks County, Pa., has been at the center of divisive political debates.

First part of fancy dinner done. Will I resist the urge to sit on the sofa like a goblin and just stop here with a tub of Boursin? Maybe.

Things are still pretty fucked up all over but walking out my door to see a dozen hens notice me and then all come running for treats and pets will never ever stop making me as happy as can be. The waddling! The little pants on the Cochins! The happy clucks!

I loved this song and this video. I likely would have never heard of them had it not bee for MTV. Also unnervingly appropriate for these times we are in.
