Any hot takes about how we do this to ourselves in the South will get cussed then blocked. Many Southern cities big and small are diverse, progressive, beautiful, full of art/culture and do not deserve the disdain of persons who have not been disenfranchised by the insane gerrymandering we have.

For anyone wondering what happened to our blue dot: in 2023, this is what happened. We used to have one district that was all of Davidson and Cheatham county to our NW. They stole the representation of 800k people.

Oh @wilwheaton.net I am so in my happy place right now. Much needed, so glad you and Bev showed up so early in the build. #tng #legos #startrek

Today I'm doing laundry and baking bread and avoiding all sorts of things I should probably be doing because my brain has decided 4 days off was NOT enough. I need another 3 or 4 I think.

My sweet Vala had dental surgery today and has spent the last several hours just staring off into space.

The tiramisu, deviled eggs and Boursin mashed potatoes I contributed were a success. Now I fall asleep for a while so that I can wake up and have cheesecake for dinner.

Ah, here’s the nonsensical too many books post. Well the rest is correct, maybe too much so. Add some cats, and it’s me.
Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

So I just saw a passing reference to that "too many books" idea again, complete hogwash. It reminded me my uncle called today to see if I had a book on Christmas customs and traditions. I poked around and told him no, but I *do* have a 1400 page reference book on all holiday symbols and customs.

What is truly horrible that you all likely know what this post is referring to. We all need a bleach shower after this week.
listen to me. listen to me right now. if you don't know what this tweet means, just close your device. don't look anything up. go for a walk. return in a week. if you don't listen to me, your life will be ruined and i can't be held accountable

Spooky Towels! These are very late in finishing because of life upheavals but I should get them hemmed this weekend and have next project on the loom next weekend. Also, this fabric feels amazing and now I want to weave yardage for sewing. I’ll have to think about it. #handweaving #fibersky

This is so true in the conversation around how to dress yourself ethically. Mending can be done with a handful of inexpensive supplies and there's a lot of resources online to help. I would also add clothing care is equally important. Learning how to correctly launder and store them extends life!
My other conclusion was that learning to mend clothing was probably the single most sustainable thing I could do, and that at least was wholly in my control.

I think what some folks aren't getting about releasing all these files and possibly implicating people across the political spectrum is there is no such thing as "too big to fail... or jail" for the vast majority of Americans. I don't care who is implicated, as long as justice is served.

I want to very gently say something, and I hope nobody will be mad: If somebody on the internet says something that is NOT about politics and NOT about how terrible everything is, it’s a kindness not to reflexively make a comment (in jest or not) that brings it back to those things.
