Sad to hear that Freddie the cat, AKA the Mayor of Shawlands, has gone over the rainbow bridge at the grand old age of 20. A kenspeckle figure around Skirving St, he'd bless the chosen few by selecting their car bonnet or roof for an afternoon snooze.

Reminds me of someone I worked with who lived on Copland road and complained about *every* *single* Rangers home game
I now also have to take the time to correct junior engineers who have presented incorrect LLM output as fact, when they could’ve gone to the ample source documentation, or run their own quick test to get the truth.

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.
Lots of coverage today on these new government proposals to reform the alcohol licensing system.

I can see an inherent popular appeal to allowing pubs to stay open later, but I have a lot of thoughts about why these plans are an extremely bad idea..

I'm not an economist but seems worrying that the whole US economy is seven companies in a trenchcoat, passing the same $20 up and down
NVIDIA and OpenAi:

Concerns that their “increasingly complex and interconnected web of business transactions is artificially propping up the trillion-dollar AI boom.“
