The Speaker of the House is telling the Fox News audience that a peaceful demonstration by Americans on the National Mall will actually be a gathering of organizations the administration has designated as violent terrorists.

Seems bad?

Mike Johnson: "We're so angry about it. I mean, I'm a very patient guy, but I've had it with these people. The theory we have right now -- they have a hate America rally that's scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall. It's the pro-Hamas wing and antifa people ... "

It’s worth bearing in mind that to the libs, “defenders of democracy” can mean anything from “Barack Obama” to “Islamist militia we have armed to the teeth” or “death squad carrying out a genocide”, and that in practice, these warm approving terms tend to mean “cooperative with America”.

Apparently our newest Nobel Peace Prize winner wrote to fucking Netanyahu for help in overthrowing the government of her own country dawg
The population of Venezuela needs international protection against the widespread and systematic attack to which the Venezuelan regime subjects it. This is demonstrated by the report dated May 29, 2018, submitted by the Organisation of American States to the International Criminal Court. This has served as the basis for nine states, including Argentina, to file complaints against the regime before that international body. We deeply appreciate this effort, which is decisive for the outcome of the Venezuelan tragedy.

I am convinced that the international community, in accordance with the responsibility to protect doctrine, is called upon to provide Venezuelans with the necessary support to bring about the regime change that is urgently needed to restore national and international security. Therefore, I have recently sent letters to several of the world’s leading figures to promote before the United Nations Security Council the adoption of effective protection measures for Venezuela by fostering regime change, a step that necessarily entails strengthening international security. Today I want to ask Israel and Argentina to contribute their expertise and influence to advance a sound and urgent decision-making process in the Security Council.

Such measures are imperative in the face of a hemispheric security hotspot like the one currently posed by the regime oppressing Venezuela. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Organisation for Migration have certified that the current refugee crisis of people fleeing Venezuela is the largest in the history of the Americas. Argentina is an example of this crisis, having welcomed hundreds of thousands of our compatriots—a gesture for which Venezuelans will always be grateful. However, we must be aware that without a change of regime in our country, hemispheric and global security will be at risk.

If I were a billionaire I'd simply hire a second bunker security team to kill the first bunker security team, and so on
"I once met a former bodyguard of one billionaire with his own "bunker", who told me his security team's first priority, if this really did happen, would be to eliminate said boss and get in the bunker themselves. And he didn't seem to be joking."

No incarnation of any political party at any time in any country on earth has ever spent so much time thinking about children’s genitals.

Besides linking Tylenol in pregnant women to autism, RFK Jr. now says circumcision is part of the reason why kids are autistic.

"Children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism, and it's highly likely because they're given Tylenol. None of this is positive..."

The desperate vague fluff from AI boosters about how world-changingly useful LLMs could be *one day*, even though they aren't right now, reminds me of Zuckerberg's fever-daydream ads for his VR hat

Anyway fucking hell I can't believe its been a decade. While I was there Corbyn was elected as Labour leader AND Cameron got exposed as a pig fucker. There was a lot going on.

And I'm delighted I got to see Wonga actually go bankrupt three years later.

That studio eventually became the Museum of Neoliberalism & I got my start at Glasto because of Dismaland, which led to me making the Hell Bus.

I have no idea what I'd be doing if Dismaland hadn't dropped into my lap. Massive respect and gratitude to everyone who made it happen (& Banksy obvs)

10 years since the end of Dismaland where I opened a payday loan shop for kids called Pocket Money Loans. I was in that cabin every day for five weeks

That exhibition completely changed my life, I sold enough postcards and prints that I could actually afford to rent an art studio for the first time
Photo of me stood outside a cabin with a shop sign that says POCKET MONEY LOANS with a grinning cartoon coin mascot

Driving through Leeds yesterday and saw road signs for Thorpe Park. I thought the only theme park we had anywhere nearby was Lightwater Valley, so I looked it up:

This is Thorpe Park, Leeds.
