reminder: It is illegal to use a device like the Allmiibo ($12) to skirt around the $30 greed of a $4b company UNLESS of course you own every Amiibo and manually scanned them into the Allmiibo (after wiping it because it comes preloaded with all of them)

Starting out with "A Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet" and within the first chapter feeling like it's a much needed literary hug.

Maaaaan, I popped into two thrift stores on a whim today CONVINCED I could manifest finding an #Omnichord. I really want one of these instruments, and they're so EXPENSIVE locally.

It's such a weird sense of frustration to be in the beginning stages of learning a skill and see so clearly what you WANT to create, but obviously lack the skills.
Kind of exciting to know you don't even have the words to ask the questions yet, but you will soon.

Something I’ve yet to figure out about #3dmodeling and #blender, how often are people using premade assets in their work versus creating everything in a scene from scratch?
Obviously it’s part artistic interest and part licensing, but wondering where folks land on that

Whipped up a script that takes the front, back, and spine of any of my books and spits out a 3D model for me that I can use in promo shots and videos.
