( more writers should just be following artists in general because the distance some writers put between them and visual artists is one of the reasons why there's a big issue with AI in indie/self-pub spaces...just no solidarity )

She was 18 years old. Her birthday was April 8, 2007. She is the oldest cat I've ever had. 18 years of her company were a blessing. It was the greatest honor to have her in my life, to love her and to be loved by her.

She was happy, and you could tell. She was too weak to walk around outside, but she perked up as soon as she smelled the air of her old home. She ate some chicken, her favorite food, and listened to 50s jazz, her favorite music. She got to cuddle my Raggedy Andy, the only pillow she ever liked.

Today, at 4:39 pm, October 14, 2025, I lost my angel. She had multiple organ failure, and I had to make the choice to let her go before the pain did. She got to eat all her favorite foods, and went back to the home she grew up in and go outside in the sun again. Wore her Quinceañera dress again.

Today is the last day I have with my baby, Piggy. She is 18, and she's been one of the greatest things that have ever happened to me. She is gonna go tomorrow. She will see her mom and all her siblings again soon.

Thank you, Piggy, Zelda, for being everything, for being with me all these years.
