This is like if the costume's thematic was "gay magician but like a log cabin Republican trying not to piss off the rest of the RNC"

Mr United States. Look, at least it's not an unironed Superman costume bought from a cheap costume shop, but my gods USA, what the fuck is this? I mean, I guess it does say a lot about the US as a country, but probably not what you want it to say...

Remember when Fox got sued for something and tried to argue that it was an entertainment product because no one could possibly be stupid enough to consider it real news

I think the entire Murdoch family should be publicly flayed

Am I meant to understand this life as an interstitial? No one is told why they were born, there is no mission objective in life, but is my passion for creating, for crafting new worlds, attuned to a purpose? Am I meant to visualize the world I want to inhabit? I'm doing that regardless, but, y'know.

I also, being a highly superstitious person, often wonder about double meanings built into life. I wonder if there are messages in the very nature of things. Transience as a concept, for example; I am trans. Transience, transitioning, transgender. Moving from one thing to the next.

Uncertain. I dwell on these things, lives that may have been and might be, in part to avoid the world that is, and I freely admit that. I'm glad, mostly, that others can find and cling to joy despite it all, but I don't want that. I want to be done with it, and become someone else, somewhere else.

I wonder. Will I be able to choose what's next? Build my own paradise, and then inhabit it? Or will I be shunted into something I don't want? And regardless... What will remain of this? I won't remember any of this, surely, for a blessing. Will it be gone altogether, or... Echoed in my dreams?
gremlinjess.bsky.social
All my life, I've had oddly realistic dreams. And for much of that time, I've wondered if they're echoes of other lives, or portents of things to come. And that has naturally led to this question, as I understand that I'm dying, in a way: what will remain of this life, after I go?
gremlinjess.bsky.social
The worst conclusion would be if death was simply an off switch, with nothing afterward. However, if eternity is a fictional concept, then surely even oblivion would end eventually? After all, we all supposedly emerge from oblivion. Why wouldn't someone emerge again, after death?
gremlinjess.bsky.social
I think about eternity vs transience a lot (I do not advise doing this)

Eternity is often referred to as a fictional concept; all things come to an end, even the universe itself will eventually come to an end. And one of the things I grapple with in what I strongly feel is the dusk of my life is:
