My game playing this year has slowed considerably because I decided to pick up watching One Piece for the first time 😶‍🌫️

Nearly at the time skip!

Actually glad I waited because I'm not sure I would have appreciated the background plot as much if I was younger.

Counterargument - no it absolutely does not 🙄

Nothing but babies whining about anything that might result in the richest people having just a little less.

Reading books that were written during COVID, particularly in the philosophy and psychology areas, where the author opens with a hope that the world will be better post-pandemic is saddening 😔

We were so close, and now we’ve been launched backwards 50+ years 😩

Really good take and resonates with my own experiences through the years on Twitch

Would love for any reporter interviewing anyone from this administration to continually ask them what THEY are doing without in order to facilitate a better life for ALL Americans.

Guessing the answer is nothing 🥱

$10 is a steal for this game!

Immesurably disappointed to see both of my senators on this list (NY) - glad that they’ve outed themselves as cowards and we can move on from them ASAP.
The final tally to advance the CR is 62-38.

The Democrats who voted for cloture, giving Donald Trump everything he wants:

Durbin (IL)
Fetterman (PA)
Gillibrand (NY)

My Completed Games in 2025:

1. Breath of Fire IV

A replay! My last one was maybe more than 10 years ago.

Solid game, love the music, art, and story. Quite some convoluted side quests and the master system but a very enjoyable experience.

Rolled credits on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth finally!

~85 hours, did a ton of the side content (except that one quest 😩), and overall really enjoyed my time in the game.

I did kick it down to Easy maybe by ch. 11 just to get through it 😅 was fun to stomp through just about every enemy!

Update since it’s been ~1 month: Pimsleur has been great! Really enjoying the lessons and speaking practice. The progression makes a lot of sense and I’m enjoying the pace of new materials vs repetitions.
Opted for Pimsleur after taking the free lesson. The focus on speaking and understanding for conversation is pretty neat!

As easy as it is to get roped into the excessive gamification in Duolingo I don’t think it’s as good of a resource for actually learning.

New book order!

Been eyeballing @aidanis.fun’s Fight, Magic, Items for a while, and very interested in @nathangrayson.bsky.social’s upcoming Stream Big!

Looking forward to these coming in 😁

Decided to finally put a more substantial effort into learning #French this year!

Unfortunately Duolingo is a very hostile experience for free users, not sure that it would be the one I actually subscribe to for learning.

Are there better alternatives for language learning nowadays?
