I'd really hoped that after the supreme failure of Dutton that the Libs would come to some kind of sense and start to correct themselves. But nope, instead we're saddled with a horrid leader with another shocking one in waiting (Frydenburg in a parachute, not Hastie). Cruel and unkind people.
Sussan Ley is clearly so far out of her depth that she deserves to be sacked by her party, purely for her own good.

This is perhaps the most contemptible thing any political leader has ever said in this country.

The sooner she f*cks off to obscurity the better for Australia.

the Albanese government had already:

Announced about
36.5
36.5 million AUD in extra security funding

Deployed significant federal and state policing

Those measures don’t make the tragedy any less awful, but they do matter when people start implying the PM was complacent or uncaring.

The choice for the Federal Liberals:

1. Stick with a cynically opportunistic leader who once was a convenor of Parliamentary Friends of Palestine, but now channels Netanyahu to suck up to the Murdoch media, or

2. Change to a Christian nationalist who will take the party to the #FarRight. #auspol
After seeing Ley’s atrocious rant today, it is as well to remember this is the party John Howard destroyed projecting internal division out into the world. It’s ugly and dangerous, aided and abetted by an equally broken media, but it isn’t winning them any friends.

The UK is now facing an emigration crisis and a shrinking population. It must, must, must reverse engines on immigration immediately - throw the doors open and wave people in. Otherwise we are inviting disaster.

This is about all protest and all free expression, from here on out. Our establishment knows social discontent will only grow as the climate worsens, the slaughters continue, and the rich extract harder. They're not fixing anything, and they don't want you to be able to resist.

Israel must be brittle and weak. If they're trying to make it so it's illegal to criticise and protest a genocidal apartheid state in distant colonies far away, that must mean Israel is extremely vulnerable to the truth. And the establishment is choosing fascism to deal with it.
