This is absolutely beautiful. Please listen.
This duet cover of Radiohead's "Creep", between a son and his Shastriya Sangeet classically trained mother, is the mash-up I didn't know how much I needed in my life. Totally spontaneous sobbing may have taken place.

3½ mile run today and didn't have to dry my running shoes on the radiator. What's going on?

The passport of shame has arrived. Here it is next to my lovely wife's lovely EU/Irish one. Yes I am envious.

in a brilliantly planned outing we arranged to pick the grandkids up from Richmond Station this afternoon at 3.00.
20 minutes from home to Twickenham on a near empty M3, then 45 minutes from Twickenham to Richmond.

#garmin #beatyesterday how my running buddy and managed to make ourselves do this I just don't know. You can only get so wet I suppose.

BBC Symphony Orchestra at The Anvil theatre in Basingstoke tonight. Excellent Brahms violin concerto and Beethoven Symphony no.4 after a 10 minute bit of modern toss. Or interesting textural piece if you prefer.

Terrible phone picture but at least 8 long tailed tits descended on the bird feeder seconds after I filled it yesterday

Got these in Waitrose yesterday and they're both fantastic. Brewed in Hackney of all places

I replaced this and it doesn't leak.
Or as my friend Mark said, it doesn't leak YET.
I am really not very practical so it's a miracle. Even cut a pipe to the right length first time.
Did try to wash silicone off my hands before attaching the pipes though.

Pretty pleased with today's effort. As ever I'm mystified at how much my pace has dropped over the years but I'm almost accepting it now as long as I can keep trotting round

I really should call a plumber but I'm going to replace this lot myself or at least attempt to. However, I removed the leaking bit three days ago and got all the replacement bits on Wednesday...

The Cascade at Virginia Water yesterday. And some fungus.
And I got round the lake (walking) before the rain got properly going

Pleased enough with that.

#garmin #beatyesterday a bit of a better effort today in near perfect weather for me. I don't usually run on Wednesday but tomorrow looks appalling.

Definitely lacking a cello. Perfect weather for learning to play the cello.

The slowest 5k I have ever recorded, also up there among the wettest. That deserves at least 3 pints of London Pride.

Currently reading Leonard and Hungry Paul by Ronan Hessian and waiting for the rain to get heavy enough for me to say "bollocks to going out running in that"
The book is an absolute joy even having seen the series on the telly

Went for a run on the racecourse at 4.30 - abandoned after about 1 minute because the inner road we run on was completely coated with a thin covering of ice.
30 minutes on the rebounder watching Blackadder Goes Forth (the Bob one) does not make up for it but it was fun.
