it's interesting to see other responses based on the genre mixing but it's not really what struck me. I was more struck by the themes of weariness and withdrawal from the temporal world (having read recently of failed communes etc), living a good and moral life, kindness breaking through

a local collector was in the lobby sharing parts of his collection, lobby cards rescued from now closed chinese theatres in town. I learned the royal used to be the golden princess, which closed when I was just 6 so I didn't know
