Birds of prey always awe me. Saw a bald eagle in flight on Friday and I was just captivated the whole time.

aaand we are now over 2000 backers!

Yes, I'll be making some money off this thing, and that's good, but the whole point of the project was to get the books out into the world.

I'd like to get it to 3K before the thing is over.

It's always a delight to chat with Trevor. Shares are appreciated, and thanks so much for listening!

I believe this was the name of the proposed Dracula/Dirty Harry crossover. “I have my rights, I have my Satanic rights!”
List of movie titles that includes “The Satanic Rights of Dracula”, rather than “Rites”.

I would have charged clean off the mound and hoped for a quick death once I knew what was going on.

I’ll be looking forward to it!

The screen is life! The found footage genre infects MacOS this week with SEARCHING — a truly horrific story of parenting, grief, and, of course, screens!

I would say it’s not a sequel, much like I’d say “The Return of the Living Dead” is not actually a sequel to “Night” even though they have a relationship to each other. (The hypothetical version of “Night” described at the beginning of “Return” would be the equivalent of the “Red Dragon” prequel.)

I covered this for my podcast! It’s a really interesting take on the start of the Reagan era and the slow rusting of our bright shiny sci-fi future, but sadly the weak link is the male lead and the movie deserves a more energetic actor in that role. But he was also the producer, so….

The Children, from 1980. The kids are very much NOT alright, they’ve been through a radioactive cloud and now they have microwave death hugs. Parents have to kill their offspring to survive the deadly night… if they can.

This is what I love about horror—it continues to innovate. The Grabber, Art the Clown, even the motherfucking Warrens have breached the wall of endless 80s requels and become hits.

I want to make it perfectly clear I've got nothing against TRON: ARES. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

But what I want most is for the younger generations to love going to the movies, which means we need more movies for them. Not every movie needs to be for 50 year old white guys.

Excellent choice! This one has some truly great scares.
