Nenko Gantchev should still be alive—home with his family. After 30 years contributing to Chicagoland as a small business owner and taxpayer, ICE detained him, ignored his medical needs, and he died in custody. This system is cruel, reckless, and must be held accountable.

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

Best news of the week?
Congratulations to every House Democrat and 20 Republicans for voting to restore the constitutional right to a union for over a million federal employees. The Senate must pass this bipartisan provision immediately.

All workers, including federal employees, have the right to be in a union.
House votes to repeal Trump order ending union rights at federal agencies
Twenty Republicans joined with Democrats to overturn the order, but it faces steep odds in the Senate.

FBI operations director Michael Glasheen says antifa is the government’s “primary concern” as “the most immediate violent threat” domestically. Bennie Thompson asks where antifa exists in the US and how many members it has.

“Well that’s very fluid.”

It’s one thing to ignore the laws of the US where the power brokers own the politicians and the judges, but can they ignore the international war crimes charges that are coming?

They committed either a war crime or murder… no spin erases this.

Above each business‘ door, on top of each website, there needs to be a graphic showing the top ten ownership/ c-suite annual total compensation to worker ratio. Like a calorie guidance. Then let‘s see who shops where. (Total compensation being pay+stocks+any benefit received).

She’d been in the U.S. since she was seven.

They grabbed at the airport on her way to surprise her family for thanksgiving.

They put her in shackles. Her ankles, her arms, and her waist.
