The execution of Alex Pretti is playing so badly because you can look at his actions and life story - his last act was helping, boy scout, athlete, health care worker to veterans - and compare those to the men who killed him and know which you would want to be your son, brother, father, uncle.

Tomorrow, the President is going to order the national guard to militarize the nation's capital (despite crime being at a 30 year low) after sending Congress home to prevent them from investigating evidence he committed sex crimes against children.

The Congressional GOP is unified behind him.

They’re banning TikTok not because it harvests data, the same way US social media does, but because they can’t influence it’s algorithm with congressional hearings or government contracts the way they do every other tech giant. That’s it.
