walking the dog a few streets over and a kid, maybe 6, came sprinting out of their house all wild-eyed, out of breath. was scared til they called, panting, “CAN YOU COME WATCH ME PLAY IN MY BASKETBALL GAME AT THE REC CENTER IT’S AT 10!!!” anyway my kid & I are making signs w/ their jersey number now
