If the figure of 20,000 attendees for Trump’s shitty birthday parade is correct, then that would tie it to the turn out for this year’s Lightovation: Dallas International Lighting Show, just ahead of the International Roofing Expo, and behind the National Automobile Dealers Association Show

Ah yes, the Earth has the King Bible from Vampire Survivors. I understand
Systemic protections and guardrails are essential to a functioning society. Nature understands this even if oligarchs don't.

I think the real winners of today are Tesla dealership vandals who will likely have their hate crime charges dropped or receive Trump pardons

I like that the implication from Musk revealing Trump was in the Epstein files is that Musk is totally willing to cover for someone on that list as they don’t pass any legislation he doesn’t agree with

Vampyros Lesbos (Jess Franco)
Pulse (Kiyoshi Kurosawa)
In Bruges (Martin McDonagh)
Black Sunday (Mario Bava)

In any order
What are four non-Criterion movies you’d add to the Criterion Collection?

I don’t know if this is a hot take or not, but after playing the first chapter, Doom: The Dark Ages is really disappointing. The slayer feels weightless, the shield gimmicky, the story a bore, and worst of all, it feels ashamed to not be scored by Mick Gordon. Not only is the music worse, it’s quiet

My take on why there isn’t a liberal Joe Rogan is the same for why I think Fox News will always dominate the ratings; I just can’t see any liberal-minded person getting 100% of their news from only one source

My favorite depictions of the teenage mutant ninja turtles are the ones where they don’t seem like teenagers at all but instead seem like loser 35 year olds who have nothing going on but eating pizza and hanging out with a rat because I find that much more relatable to my own life

This whole clip is truly unbelievably great. I am genuinely astounded by how good this is.
Pritzker: The reckoning is here. And now that this culture of timidity is on display, these same do-nothing Democrats want to blame our losses on the defense of Black people, trans kids, and immigrants, instead of on their own lack of guts and gumption.

After having the unfortunate opportunity of seeing a lot of secondhand Fox News, and I kinda miss Tucker Carlson. He had that psychopath thing where you just know some day he’ll snap and we’ll get a good HBO doc a la The Jinx. Jesse Watters just serves pathetic. Both terrible people, mind you

It’s interesting. Today is trans day of visibility, but it also marks about one month since I stopped being completely honest about my gender identity on job applications. They always ask, and I’ve stopped being forthcoming about my gender fluidity, as this doesn’t seem like a safe time to be myself
