If there are *any* Democrats in Congress who will still vote to keep funding this administration when it is using that money to terrorize our cities and refusing to allow congressional representatives their clear right to observe their activities, then those reps need to be primaried into retirement
I was just denied access to the ICE processing center at the Whipple Building.

Members of Congress have a legal right and constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight where people are being detained.

The public deserves to know what is taking place in ICE facilities.
JUST NOW: Huge mass of agents in a standoff, weapons drawn as Reps. Ilhan Omar, Angie Craig, and Kelly Morrison attempt to conduct congressional oversight at the Whipple Building, which has been HQ for thousands of ICE agents.

If you begin Star Trek: Voyager episode Spirit Folk at exactly 11:49:35 on New Year's Eve, Ensign Harry Kim will kiss a cow as the clock strikes midnight. Join in a very dumb annual tradition and start 2026 off on the right hoof.

This time between Christmas and New Year’s is actually a long rest. This allows you to recover your hit points and spell slots before the 2026 adventure

The NBA’s balance of power is shifting before our eyes. The Spurs have three wins over the Thunder in 12 days.

Even as Victor Wembanyama finds his way back, San Antonio has made a compelling case for top dog in the NBA.

No sport truly hates their fans more than college football
The Notre Dame-USC series will go on hiatus for at least the next two seasons after the schools failed to reach an agreement on a new deal to keep one of college football’s most historic intersectional rivalries active.

I'm not sure I've ever seen anything with a larger disconnect between the executive class and the general public than AI - there have been cases where executives want to push something they know is unpopular, but on AI it's like the backlash hasn't penetrated their bubble at all
What gets me about executives at movie/videogame studios being taken aback at consumer backlash to AI is that they seem genuinely surprised that we like the human beings that make the things that we like

(Trying to explain healthcare to an American) Imagine a commercial
Scalise: "Everybody complains, 'Why when I watch TV do I see this Gecko lizard & emu & all these animals out there selling car insurance & homeowners insurance? Why aren't they selling healthcare?' That's bc federal laws prohibit people to have choices for lower cost products for health insurance"

Hello FIFA, the Olympic Committee, Chamber of Commerce, Travel and Tourism peeps - ain't no one going to come here if required to submit all this info to USG/DOGE/Palantir while also risking to getting thrown into an ICE detention facility without due process and contact with the outside world.
It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted
