I thought it was overhyped. It was ok but the storyline was disjointed, numerous plot holes, and not very much emotional heft. I also found the acting choices made by Sean Penn to be very puzzling.

Unpopular pop culture opinions of the week: TS’s new album and the movie One Battle After Another are not the masterpieces many claim. They are merely ok. Not terrible, entertaining enough, but ultimately forgettable.

Laugh all you want, but a number of years ago during oral argument, a judge pointed out that our complaint included that language in disputing opposing counsel’s claim that one of our our counts was inadequately pleaded! So I will always include this.

🚨 "Boeing is regaining authority from the Federal Aviation Administration to perform final safety checks on its 737 MAX."

Rather than increase agency capacity to conduct independent inspections and improve aviation safety, Trump's FAA will allow Boeing to certify the safety of its own planes.

It's not really enough to fully express my gratitude but at least it's something.

Noted for future reference (though I hopefully will not ever be in this situation again)!

I’m glad I was alone because having more people taking up the oxygen would have made me panic even more!

That sounds like a nightmare, too!

The button was broken, and I had no cell phone My apartment building later said the microphone/speaker for the call button had gone bad, which is why it did not work.

I never got their names, unfortunately.

This is the second time I have benefited from such kindness in a very serious way. The first was during the 20008 ice storm when I fell on a sidewalk. Emergency services were overwhelmed. Two women called an ambulance and when it didn’t arrive, they drove me to the hospital. I had fractured my hip.

Update: just dropped off thank you cards and gift certificates for a local restaurant for the two women who helped me. I am enormously grateful for the kindness of strangers.

Nightmare alert: I just got stuck in my building's elevator for an hour, without my cell phone. Someone finally heard me yelling for help and frantically pushing the alarm bell (the emergency call button to the elevator company did not work), and called the fire department to rescue me.

What do when you are living in an era when a strong personal community is increasingly vital to making it through but you’re also a deeply introverted person with a ridiculous work schedule who often needs to spend your limited free time recovering alone?

We filed a second lawsuit against Texas's Ten Commandments law to stop more school districts from imposing scripture on public-school students.

I've always had a fear of this happening, and now that it has I don't see how I will be able to take an elevator ever again.

Tragic and alarming: From the states collecting data, 68% of U.S. counties and jurisdictions have immunization rates below 95% for the MMR vaccine — the level of herd immunity that is required to stop the spread of measles.
