Woke up with migraine. Trying new med. If it’s not my head that aches, it’s (always) my heart. Having them ache simultaneously feels excessive. Hoping to feel better bc I have plans for something fun this afternoon. Grief is my constant companion; I have to do things to shake it loose if I can.

Paco has shaved front legs (for IVs) from the scare last wknd. He was able to open a bottle& then consumed 60 Rimadyl chewables. (I got back from matinee-saw ‘OBAA’) then raced him to ER vet: they got him to vomit, put him on fluids, kept him overnight. I like when he rests his paws on me. #bestie

100%. It’s very rare that a person doesn’t return a smile when I smile first when walking by. Granted, I live in coastal Alabama..a very friendly/“southern hospitality” is not a myth kinda place..but still. Please..Do it. We need to see our fellow humans smile, despite these harrowing times.

The thing about grief is that you eventually return to ‘normal life,’ but still feel so far from your ‘normal self.’

It’s a terrible feeling. Wanting to be present and enjoy the moment, yet feeling unable to.
