I'm not sure new leadership in the Democratic Party is enough. I can't game out how the DNC survives as anything besides a political theater project.

Test: if I call the Democrats managed opposition, will I get the usual "nu-uh" replies today? What POSSIBLE benefit is there to caving this deep into the longest shutdown ever, when a majority of the country rightfully blames the GOP, and a blue wave election just gave you a mandate to fight?

I’m writing Red Markets 2e. A big part of the setting’s near future tech is “Ubiq Specs.” I worried how something based on the laughable Google Glass would translate to the new edition, as it was so silly as to be almost completely forgotten.
Then Zuck reinvents the same failed prototype, but AI.
