A friend with a family of four just reported that her insurance premium went from $60 a month to $2000 a month with a $19000 deductible.

Medicare for all is THE only answer.
The federal government shutdown is over, and insurance premiums on the ACA Exchange are going to skyrocket for millions of families.

In the short term, Republicans absolutely should do the right thing and extend the Biden-era subsidies that made these plans affordable for so many.

Oh, how I remember those loveliest of days.
For no particular reason….posting former U.S. Attorney General John Mitchell’s mugshot before he went to Federal prison for committing numerous crimes on behalf and or/at the direction of President Nixon including obstruction of justice and conspiracy.

Hidden in the U.S. Senate bill to end the government shutdown is a provision that would ban hemp-derived products like THCA, delta-8, HHC, THCV and CBD nationwide.

In WI, this means 100s of small businesses, 1000s of jobs, and millions of dollars of economic activity are at risk of disappearing.

Won’t believe it until he’s in his grave or behind bars.
Who knows. For years I thought, "*Now* will they finally say 'enough'?"

Is this finally the big—as some have so aptly put it—jailbreak?

Let us hope and pray that it is. But let's not hold our breath.

Not one…
NPR reported this morning that, based on their review of the #Epstein emails released yesterday, Trump’s name appeared more than 1,000 times in the document—

"I have met some very bad people, none as bad as #Trump. Not one decent cell in his body." - Jeffrey Epstein

It's time for good women to take charge.

Adelita "I will sign the discharge petition right now to release the Epstein Files."

And the sooner the better.
New in PN: Cue the rebellion

"The unfortunate conclusion to the shutdown is going to fuel a rebellion within the Democratic Party, one that has already begun but will only get stronger. And despite all the justified disgust now being expressed at Dems, in the long run it will be good for the party"
Cue the rebellion
The Democratic base is enraged at their party's capitulation — and that's a good thing.

The average SNAP benefit is $177/month.

The average ACA benefit is $550/month.

People were already coming together to feed people. But we can't all come together to be doctors, hospitals, etc.

Those Dems who voted to end the shutdown are creating a situation where people will die.

“Fight for us”

“Fight for working class Americans”

“Fight against Trump’s corruption, criminality and cruelty”

5 days later, Democrat Senators sent Americans a resounding message.
