Misleading story @reuters.com. Holsey announced his early retirement and stepped down from his position before the first boat murder event.
The guy who should be retiring early, as an E-1 with forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and prosecuted is Bradley.

The Justice Department has waged an unprecedented campaign to intimidate states into handing over voters’ private information.

The goal, as @abbyvesoulis.bsky.social & @ariberman.bsky.social report, could result in the unprecedented harassment of individual citizens like you and me.

The federal agency ordinarily would prevent attacks on voting rights. Now it’s carrying them out.

For a fine to be effective as deterrent, it must be sufficiently consequential to force a change in behavior.

This fine, as huge as it may seem to any random person on the street, is - in context of who will pay it - is equivalent to a 1 cent speeding ticket.

So, people who couldn't be bothered to get a real id in the past 5 years or so get a cash penalty, but the rest of us will all get a time penalty when these lazy bastards throw a wrench in the already questionable works.

Great. How about just trying then what was promised: no id, no plane ride?
As of February, airline passengers without a Real ID will be required to pay $45 for alternative screening at U.S. airports. trib.al/iCHEgRW

"winner"

🤔

🤣
Usually it’s a safe bet that nothing will stick but if the regime hangs Admiral Bradley, a SEAL combat veteran and winner of a Bronze Star, out to dry to protect their alcoholic Fox personality cosplaying as “Secretary of War,” I could see that being a bridge too far for a lot of Republicans.
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

One of the biggest errors made by the DoD during GWOT was to start calling Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen - "Warfighters".

What we are seeing today is the inevitable, toxic result of an entire generation being told they are Warfighters, rather than professionals of their chosen Branch.

The same thing happened to the wife of a Navy vet

Instead they watched the loves of their life be taken away in handcuffs

Yet it also contains a more serious turn about how little thought is given by this Admin. to the effects of major decisions.
