This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.
We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.
We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Most succinctly put.
I hope the U.N. passes a resolution condemning the administration’s and SCOTUS’ conduct.

This is the part we'll never forget. Our government created and fought extremely hard to create food insecurity for millions of Americans and they did it as a power play.

Indeed. Thank you for your service.
Also to those nongovernmental service employees who are also bearing a burden. I’m thinking of airline desk agents and flight attendants, grocery store workers in particular but I know there are others.

A note of gratitude to our federal workforce who are toiling without pay while the Administration continues to inflict pain and suffering to squeeze more profits out of a broken healthcare sys on the backs of the sick and the poor.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
Pass it on.

So when you are targeted and stand your ground with all means at your disposal, will FBI witness for ypu at trial?
Or is this the administration distancing itself from the KKKontracted bounty hunters who are increasingly being required to show their faces, show ID, and have working body cams?

They called them “violent mobs,” but the violence came from the guys with badges and body armor.
📌 Keep sharing videos, everyone, because they’re evidence.

I’m so proud of my state and our leaders. New Mexico is the first state to offer free child care and Albuquerque has free bus service. These are two issues that mayor elect Mamdani is considering. Imagine, a small blue state, setting standards for all. 😊

The large majority of food stamp (SNAP) recipients in America are children and the elderly.
Among all adults who rely food stamps, a large share are disabled (10%) or taking care of dependents. Of those who aren't, a majority are working in jobs that just don't pay very much.
