If you're an incumbent Democrat running to keep you're seat in 2026 this has to be the wake up call: if you aren't actively taking a stand against the full fascist agenda you should be nervous if there is any challenger in your primary. Start taking a stand today if you want to keep your position
After last night, the message for Dems is clear: grow a spine or you will be primaried.
No more dropping trans issues. No more ignoring Palestine. No more compromising with fascists.

Accountability is a subject the Internet has an incredibly difficult time with, because the concept itself is so vague/ill defined to be almost meaningless.

This is the danger of tying your economy too strongly to only one customer. (Same principle applies to a business with too much market share to one customer.) If that one customer falters, so does your economy.
I'm still a big fan of trade but diversifying it is a wise decision, especially now.

If anyone's curious, the inside-Canada view of the Trump situaiton is increasingly that we've been fools to tie our national economy to one customer, and that we now need to diversify to sell more to the rest of the world (read: China and India).

So Platner has a tattoo that is a Nazi symbol (the SS Totenkompf). His story that he got it at a Croatian tattoo parlor in 2007 when he was in the marines without knowing what it was is believable to me. But the rest of his response defending it out of the Portland Press Herald is pretty bad.

What makes this immensely funnier is that in the original release of Pokemon Red, Blue & Green, all Pokemon were presumed genderless except the two Nidoran lines, & even then all have been refered to using it/its pronouns since day one.
