“Some will not permit me to exist in this tension, but I do.”

Well said @preacherboyspod.bsky.social That quote resonates on a lot of levels. That tension is what makes us, and keeps us, human.

Ok the fantasy-themed nexplanon commercial is what women and uterus-havers deserve. It’s cute and pretty AND the side effects are also said calmly and slowly enough to be understood. 10/10

Further Chuck moments: she noticed my bandaid from donating blood and asked about it. I explained that I gave away some of my blood to people who need it. She said “But now you don’t have enough blood! You need to go back there and get more blood!”

My four year old child asked to watch Hamilton a second time, so obviously I said yes.

Within the first two songs, she sagely said: “Mom, I don’t like when they kill Hamilton.” And then immediately afterwards, banned me from rapping along with the tv.

It’s ok to feel joy when someone hateful dies, and it’s okay not to. What I hope all the kids harmed by James Dobson’s teachings are feeling today is peace and a little relief. Be gentle with yourselves today. ❤️

I guess I thought they just left the chimney up there? Seems strange to take it down and put it back up every decade or so.

As the mom of a four year old, this broke my heart.
Children as young as *four* are being put in the position of representing themselves without lawyers/parents present in front of immigration judges in cases that will determine whether they are deported.

Once again, I was left to wonder: was Pete Hegseth signal chatting military attack plans to everyone but me??

Am I the one that’s insecure, or is it his communication practices that are insecure?

Hey, you owe me some money. I know how much you owe me, but I’m not gonna tell you. Instead, guess how much you owe me. If you get it wrong, I might mail you a fat check, or I might ruin your life. Have fun! Happy spring!

Just so everybody understands, Booker has been speaking cogently about the issues the entire time and Strom Thurmond famously spent hours reading from the encyclopedia, because segregationists were and are dumbshits
If Sen. Cory Booker makes it to 7:19 p.m. EST, he will break segregationist Dixiecrat Strom Thurmond's record for his 24 hour 18 minute Senate floor speech against the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
