Got my Covid booster and Flu shot today. My arm is pretty sore. If that's it as far as side effects I'll take that over the 24 hour flu-like symptoms I've gotten in the past.

Open Enrollment for medical benefits should be a federally mandated thing, with all companies required to provide options and costs at the same time. My company still hasn't published their plan options for next year, and my wife's open enrollment ended this week. It's ridiculous.

I'm a bad reader. When an author uses real places that I'm familiar with, any inconsistencies just pull me out of the story. Started reading @scalzi.com's "Starter Villain" last night. I'm all of 40ish pages in and I'm just completely hung up on the fact that there is no outlet mall in Kildeer.

Damn things have changed.... Alex applied to 10 colleges on Monday.... he's already been accepted to two of them. Trying to decide if they have low standards or he's just well above their average acceptance criteria.

I have come to the conclusion that remote work saves lives. In particular my coworkers who I would potentially cause physical harm to if we were ever in the same place at the same time. And then by extension I also get to stay out of jail.
