Every part of this is bonkers. The intro is bonkers. The transition to his health is bonkers. The mention that other presidents didn't need cognitive exams is bonkers. The claim that this screening test is somehow hard is bonkers. The idea that criticism of him is treason is bonkers. All of it.

Afternoon cooking, 2 chicken carcasses = loads of stock, waiting for bones to cool a bit to get the meat off. Loads of chicken from early picking in the fridge to make pies, risotto, soupetc. 2 seeded loaves, Shepherds pie & a baked bean, cheese & potato pie to use up mash. Happy freezer/family!

This morning when I suggested burgers for supper, my husband said he could make mash. Child & I looked at each other in horror and now I'm making rolls in the breadmaker.

It helps to see good news.
‘It’s the shape of story across all ages and human cultures. You’re in a hole. Then you get out.’

The climate crisis hole is hot, dark and we’re still in it.

But Prof Jules Pretty describes how we’re beginning to get out. There is good news…
After COP30, what now? It’s actually good news

Sardines on toast lunch done in the oven grill which I think is a broiler for my US friends? To cut down on electric we turn off things at the mains when not used but I forgot to turn the actual grill off. Turned the oven on to bake, after 15 mins smelt smoke..opened grill to flames..ooops! 🔥🫢

Yet another unique way to stimulate cellular immunity against cancer.

“Using the gut immune system to induce cellular immunity is a unique approach,” Shirakawa notes. “And it should be very easy to extend it to other antigen proteins and also infectious diseases.”

Inducing immunity against cancer via the gut
Could a microbe that can smuggle antigens into the immune system of the gut provide a simple way to treat cancers?

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful.

Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened.

This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

So, today's Sunday in the kitchen. Roast chicken which I've then used the bones for stock, added sliced potato from the garden that was in the freezer + pepper & onions from same, chicken is being used to make fajitas for supper + in soup & finally made elderberry & rosemary immune support syrup.
