Its now my favourite as well !!

How is it a problem to highlight the now widely accepted fact that "Farage's Brexit" was an economic failure?

The biggest gaping flaws include the weak cliches we have heard for the past few years such as "Make Brexit work" and the "Brexit red lines".
edwinhayward.com
According to media reports, Labour are about to engage on a mad attempt to blame future tax rises on "Farage's Brexit" having caused more damage than expected.

Several gaping flaws:
- "Make Brexit Work"
- Constant Brexit red lines reinforcement
- 14 years of the TORIES in power
- Flatters Reform

Is this the same mug that said Farage never the Russian asset Nathan Gill?
hitchinmark24.bsky.social
Oh look all the Russian assists together? never met him, no idea who you are talking about???
d-moore.bsky.social
Gill was right there as Farage celebrated the biggest disaster inflicted on Britain since WWII.

Man who took money from the Russians, just having lunch with Farage in 2016? Farage says he never met him. Oh my is someone telling fibs?

Awkward for Zia Yusuf, who keeps being sent out to lie as cover for the Reform UK leader

Who did Nigel Farage have lunch with after resigning as UKIP leader 4 July 2016?

Why, it's Russian bribe enthusiast Nathan Gill, who then did the important news briefing on his behalf (to Russia Today)

Yeah. You keep changing the criteria (total / per year / between date ranges) and the definitions (refugees / asylum seekers vs Immigrants) of what we were talking about. Eventually you will find some numbers that work for you. Are you paid by the post or for the level of dumb in your BS?
hitchinmark24.bsky.social
1million is more than 1/4 of a million. You worry about your own numbers. And check before calling people liars.

This is the sort of BS we get from Russian trolls and Reform leaders paid by the Russians.

Poland currently has a million Ukrainians. Uk asylum cases are running at about 100,000 a year.

You can have your opinions but facts are facts.
hitchinmark24.bsky.social
But Poland has taken in more refugees and asylum seekers than the UK.

Today in history, 1789: Thousands of Parisian women begin a march to Versailles, demanding action on the price of bread. Poor harvests, a growing population and economic mismanagement had driven the price so high that it consumed almost half of most workers’ incomes. /1

You will only hear about this on the BBC if Nigel Farage has a random view on it.

Not that it's my news to announce but back in July 2024, the new Government promised 2 million extra NHS appointments by now.

To date they've notched up more than 5 million.

Bet you won't hear that on the BBC any time soon.

Nothing that Farage and REFUK offer their mostly-older supporters will secure the value of their pensions, or improve hospital care, or help their children and grandchildren find good jobs and an affordable home. None of it.

But it will constantly tell them who to be angry at.

A political party, that's topping the polls, lauding someone who called for human beings to be burned to death should be a moment for national self-reflection.

This is not who we are nor who we should become.

Reform UK are a plague on our national humanity. We must never permit them to govern.

I am old enough to remember the time when the #telegraph.co.uk was a serious newspaper. Does anyone actually still read it?

I recommend Ian Dunt's substack. A very good read about this.
