This one hurts. Most of my short story success over the past few years is due to this publisher. They leave a great legacy of crime fiction and it sucks that they can't continue.

"A specific crime against her by someone who knew her" is a pretty simplistic reading of the Horton case. The guy who was arrested had a list of 45 potential targets including Dem lawmakers, abortion providers and pro-choice activists. He researched targets and surveilled homes., authorities said

Hi Katie: I very much appreciated your feedback on my manuscript after we spoke at the Chesapeake Writer's Conference. It was on point. I couldn't reply to the email, but I wanted to pass along my thanks. I will submit a revised manuscript soonest.

I'm up to 45 queries on what I hope will be my second novel. About 8-9 rejections and some nibbles. Sending out another query today. Life goes on.

What a gem. Ana Sophia Heger is mesmerizing as Polly. Same for Taron Egerton. I didn't recognize John Carroll Lynch after his turn in "Ballard." Saw this at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday when no one else bothered to be in the theater. Their loss. The book ain't bad, either. @jordanharper.bsky.social

Hey, ya'll. My novel is nearing its second birthday, and I'd love to get a few more reviews on Amazon. If you've read the book and haven't bothered to drop a review, now's the time. Gus will thank you from the bottom of his grumpy heart. (Also, the hardcover is half priced at the moment.)

It sounds like he's referring to undocumented immigrants, who are generally not eligible for most federal public benefits, including programs like SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, and TANF. It takes 30 seconds to Google this.
