Thank you for helping motivate me to get out of bed this morning.
Brisk walk with the dog is better than nothing!
Week 17 / Day 2 πŸ‘Ÿ
Cool 4 this morning before dawn. Perhaps the busiest trail in my city but it was still relatively quiet and peaceful.

I’ve got wool socks on as well speak and I’m not even leaving the house today πŸ™ƒ
You as well! I’m down about 50 lbs from the before photo. I think the only real drawbacks are being cold all the time and having to replace my entire wardrobe πŸ˜†
Running hasn’t solved all of my problems. But when I look at me two years ago vs me now and see that I stand taller and my smile reaches my eyes….. πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

Week 17 / Day 1 πŸ‘Ÿ
It’s officially #taper time and I will be doing a lot of two of the things I know best- snacking and dissociating. ✌🏻

Week 16 / Day 7 πŸ‘Ÿ
Church of the long run this morning. After a late night of dancing and party food I’m grateful to push through with my run as planned.

(Late post- busy day yesterday!)
Week 16 / Day 6 πŸ‘Ÿ
Vampire Run 5k with my running besties.
Probably could’ve broken 30 but didn’t want to push my luck with a long run on deck next morning and this close to the marathon.

Week 16 / Day 4 πŸ‘Ÿ
Opted to sleep in this morning and run after work. The state park I love isn’t open early enough for most weekday morning runs, so I’m grateful it got me out there today.

Indiana feels very wintry today! I wore gloves this morning for my entire run- first time this season!
Week 16 / Day 3 πŸ‘Ÿ
Easy 4 and the foot feels way better today! Lots of stretching and icing!

Here is how I lace them now- parallel up the middle instead of crossing.
Both pairs currently in rotation are Brooks. Glad I’m on the good list!
This is great input! I did re-lace recently to give the midfoot more room. Have you found tongues to run thinner/thicker in certain brands?
Pretty noticeable the first three miles but not as bad as Sunday and wasn’t bothering me by the end! Trying to balance rest and strengthening when I’m not running now… 😬
Week 16 / Day 2 πŸ‘Ÿ
Easy five- real easy at first while I felt out the tendon pain in my right foot.
#marathontraining #runsky #negativesplits
I’m glad you did too! I never regret going for a run :)
Those leaves are so beautiful! Great start to your day!
Very solid 10! πŸ‘πŸ» I love everyone’s fall trail photos
Week 14 I realized I needed to refocus and make adjustments to turn things around. Week 15 was magic. Turning my love & hard work into tangible results that made me believe in myself again and feel certain I can run this marathon. I’m so excited and so grateful I’m doing this. #marathontraining
offered advice after my brutal 19-miler two weeks ago but thank you all again SO so much. I feel so much more encouraged and confident now as I approach the marathon.
The first 7-8 weeks of training didn’t really affect my outlook on race day. Weeks 9-13 I felt less confident I could do this at all
Week 16 / Day 1 πŸ‘Ÿ
Rest day! My 20 went great yesterday and I am wiped out πŸ˜† Looking forward to a massage after work today and loosening things up a bit. I think I’ve got some extensor tendonitis bothering my right foot, but otherwise no serious complaints.
I think I’ve responded to everyone who
Whiny tourist made me laugh! I don’t often get dirty on the trails I run so I didn’t anticipate mud, but there was a downed tree from storms the night before last and I had to creatively get past. Ended up wearing some debris after that but took it in stride. 🀣
I ended up doing a shorter section of the same trail I did 19 on but did that 4-mile stretch 5 times. More variety of snacks kept me interested in fueling for sure too. And I did make use of going past my car multiple times- all great tips TY!
Great call! I had split my 19 miler into 6.5/6.5/3/3 mile segments of the trail and some of those were just too much. Yesterday I did the same 4 mile stretch 5 times. My favorite part of that trail only and the first hour it was dark out so it didn’t feel like so much repeating. Much more doable!
