Especially if you're a very small country with teeny-tiny airspace it is VERY normal to have a training facility somewhere in the heartland of the US so your in-training pilots can fly more than two minutes without having to turn around.

Seeing a lot of folks being shocked by this but this is just a training agreement. Mountain Home is a major F-15 base & the Qatari air force just bought a bunch. This is pretty common, Norway & the UAE both have facilities in AZ for flight training.

Like don't get me wrong, even this posturing incompetent buffoonery is bad! It's very bad! And yes, some people ARE being hurt and WILL be hurt, and we need to stand up and stop it. But the difference in scale is so monumentally vast that it almost doesn't bear comparison.
