I’m old enough to remember that only Scottish Labour could “constructively” work with Westminster, and the SNP were “the Nationalists” and too “divisive”.

CW sui, but important
Significantly, after the Tavistock closed following the Keira Bell case in 2022, this year sees the greatest number of suicides – which aligns with what whistleblowers said.

The data raises significant questions about the Appleby report, which said no surge happened.

bsky.app/profile/good...
Five trans children died by suicide in 2019-20, 4 in 2020-21 then 22 in 2021-22. This is the truth, from official Government data, that Wes Streeting desperately tried to cover up.

That £240m contract Palantir won after Peter Mandelson took Keir Starmer to visit them? Government asserts "there were robust processes in place to ensure that government contracts are awarded fairly and transparently" but the award notice says it was a "directed award", ie without any competition.

O/T, but Matthew Macfadyen will play Peter Mandelson in the inevitable TV adaptation of this ever-growing scandal
EXCLUSIVE:

Peter Mandelson sought advice from Jeffrey Epstein on setting up his advisory firm, Global Counsel, including how to target potential new clients such as the Chinese government.

The UK government pinned its case for declaring Palestine Action a terrorist organisation largely on the trial of the so-called Filton Six, claiming they had proved the group to be violent.

A jury today found none of them guilty of any of the charges.

There are few politicians who personify the tedious, pathetic, feeble, insipid banality of evil quite like Anas Sarwar. He "supported" LGBTQIA+ rights when it seemed easy and possible to dismiss with a cheap love-is-love platitude. When it became difficult he felt free to reveal his contempt for us.

As an side, it’s embarrassing for Scotland’s Respectable Broadsheet to prominently platform Ash Regan here. They are sympathetic. Is she an expert? They choose not to remind us of her misunderstanding of what it means to “drive [sex work] underground”.
I see Ash Regan is responding to the news that the Scottish Government will not support her Stage 1 ‘Unbuyable’ bill with her usual calm mature and considered rhetoric 🙄. A better bill needs redrafted in the new parliament term taking all the concerns into account.

There's actually a lot of planets like this because sci-fi writers find it boring and hard having to work out a whole new calendar for each story.
New planet just dropped and it

1) is almost exactly Earth-sized

2) has a year that's almost exactly 1 Earth year.

3) orbits a star that is not a 💢temperamental little shit M-dwarf 💢but is instead a 🧡 good orange boi 🧡
