There’s a good episode of Parks and Rec that kind of touches upon this: End of the World. Worth a watch perhaps, if you haven’t already seen it. Short answer is: being wrong conflicts with world view in such a huge way that it threatens everything, so blame math. Hehe.

I dunno. I went to Baltimore City Public Schools and honestly I received a great education. I learned practical stuff (map-reading, taxes) as well as esoteric "just for lolz" like Latin and multiple Philosophy classes. People hate on public education and I'm like, it's great?
