Saw "I swear" a couple of weeks ago and "Nuremberg" tonight. We have some excellent producers at the moment. I would recommend both movies if you can.

I went to see "I swear" yesterday. It really brings my thoughts to society being more inclusive and open to understanding differences in people. I hope it gets many views but I suspect it may not.

A note for sports: Bluesky’s engagement rate was x10 higher than X’s across a sampling of identical posts made on both platforms by @rapsheet.bsky.social (sharing with permission)

Fwiw we see a similar trend across all communities, not just sports. Real people, real conversations.

I think it could be important right now to foi the amount central government gives each local authority, then aggregate it to a per person basis.
Politico: Kent County Council controlled by Reform UK, 'is likely to raise council tax rates next year after its cost-cutting “DOLGE” program struggled to find savings, the FT reports. Council Cabinet member Diane Morton said local services were already “down to the bare bones”'

Exactly as warned.

Good read on todays news. I really appreciate Dmitrys explanations.
1/ "Secondary Sanctions" - What are they, and how do they work?

Since Donald Trump is floating them against Russia's trading partners, and with absolutely no expectation he won't change his mind again next week and declare Zelenskyy the real villain, I thought I'd do a (long, sorry) explainer.

Quick question: Is there any of my followers who lives near W9 and might have a cool room for the next few days for me to stay during the day and work ? Apparently there is another heatwave coming and the boat gets a bit sauna-ish when it’s over 30s…Happy to pay for it as well. #Followerpower

There must be absolutely no place for racism in Scotland.

Anas Sarwar is a political rival of mine but he shouldn’t be subjected to race-baiting attacks.

Farage has done more than anyone else to demonise minorities and inflame tensions. It must stop.
